The Very First Contest*
Hallo friends,
readers, Carcazoid. The time has come for the editors of the APP to reach out,
and give opportunities to YOU…in the spirit of the holidays. And with that, we
introduce the VERY FIRST FICTION CONTEST (I would have said First Annual, but
God only knows how many years we'll be around, and what if we feel like doing
another one within six months? It doesn't seem right to put such a barrier
around our contests). The contest rules and prizes are as follows (ok, the
prizes aren't that great)
Rules
1. Construct a
creative essay, 1,000 words or less, expounding on the: MYSTERIOUS ORIGINS OF
THE APP.
2. Mention Jessi and
Chris at least ONCE in the essay.
3. Use the words
Alien Hand Syndrome at least once in the essay
4. Send those
entries IN AN EMAIL, NOT AS AN ATTACHMENT…to dearapp@abpam.com.
5. The deadline
is…December 31st (so we can print them all out before the computers blow up)
The Prizes
The winner of this
illustrious contest will have their story/essay featured on the FRONT PAGE of
THE APP…winner of no web awards at all.
We will also (Carcazoid, take note), feature a link to the website of
your choice,
provided it is not http://www.fathumpers.com. The story will also be reviewed
and painstakingly disected at the hands of the editors…consider it…RECIPROCITY.
So, put pens to
paper kids, and get those entries in early!
*Not counting the Contest
To Name The Fiction Area, or the Contest to Come Up with a Sport for the
Nerf Room, obviously.
